A different game, but a familiar one
Aug. 10th, 2019 01:58 pmNo D&D quotes today because we played Cyberpunk RED instead! Fun little scenario, I played a Solo. Which meant I got to invoke my actual for-reals infantry training!
We had to defend our little tenement from a greedy corporation. Seeing the layout, I set up a classic hallway ambush with three teams set to fill the hallway with multiple fire lanes. Swiss cheese the Miltech goons!
One NPC team went rogue and burst into the street. At least they provided a distraction. Mover, my Solo, ran to the rooftop to engage a helicopter team. I killed both mooks and the Netrunner they were supposed to protect. I then engaged the helicopter, aiming for the engine and did some damage. The pilot panicked, lost control, and crashed into the alleyway.
A really fun system, I will be picking it up when the full release happens. I've love Cyberpunk since the first edition came out all those years ago. I'm thinking of running a game set in Istanbul.
There was one major milestone reached in today's game. For the first time since the Total Party Kill in Ravenloft, my character took significant damage!
