Medicos occurrunt, ergo sum.

Saw my hemo-oncologist today. After a frustrating 30 minute search for a parking space (on the fourth level of the parking garage.. disabled parking? What disabled parking?) I finally made it up, and despite being late, met a lovely young lady who was in for a follow up to her first leukemia chemotherapy follow-up. We met when she walked up to where I was sitting, announced "I haven't got any hair!" and pulled off her wig. My reply? "Cool! I haven't got any teeth!" and 'smiled' at her. Her mom cracked up. They caught the cancer early, and hopefully got it all. Here's hoping, because someone that young who can snark over her hair loss is a national treasure.

I was seeing Dr. Jeske in her Hematologist hat. We discussed how I'm handling the blood-thinners both medically and in my life. Since we still don't know why my blood is clotting, and if I stopped there would be a definite chance of my developing more clots, we decided to continue on the current regimen. I love doctors who involve me in the decisions.

Had been planning on getting over to the library to get my card, but forgot to grab a piece of mail with my name on it. Do that Monday. Did do a little shopping and picked up lottery tickets. Winning, even just enough to pay of the cars, would really help.

Go Summit High! On 8/19, Summit High School in Tennessee played its first ever football game, and this was the opening play. Pro: they seem to know what they’re doing. Con: there’s nowhere to go but down.
