Heavy Metal Halloween!
Oct. 31st, 2010 08:05 amBecause headbanging always goes better with bags full of candy!
As usual, we celebrate National Freak Out The Humor-Impaired Fundies Day with Helloween. This German power metal band has been around and rocking since 1984, and has a devoted following in Europe. Sadly, they haven't been as successful in penetrating the North American metal scene. Sad, since they are an awesome band. Today's track comes off 2005's Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy, which was released on Halloween. Featuring Candice Night on vocals, enjoy Helloween performing Light the Universe.
I'm showing my old-school fantasy roots, but those guys in the hood robes reminded me of the two main sorcerers from Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser stories.

San Francisco Giants: 4
Texas Rangers: 0
Giants lead the World Series 3 games to 1. Tonight's hero was 21 year okl pitcher Madison Bumgarner. The fifth-youngest pitcher to ever start a World Series game, Bum pitched 8 incredible innings, allowing no runs and only 3 hits. He's now the fourth-youngest pitcher ever to win a World Series game.
One game to win. Three chances to do it. Believe.
GO GIANTS!!!!
