Along with the mysteriously aching knees, I started feeling poorly again last night. Back to feeling drained and achy, with Sushi Cat sitting on my chest.

I now have two doctor's appointments this week. Tomorrow at Ophthalmology to look into why my visual field test was so terrible in my left eye, and this morning I finally heard back from my alleged oncologist for a follow-up to tests I did months ago. Seeing him on Thursday. I'll probably see my GP as well sometime this week.

At this point I'm really beginning to wonder about my general state of health. I asked Dr. Petty if he thought I was a candidate for federal disability. Not yet summed up the reply. But if this knee thing is serious, or if I keep getting sick, then we are going to apply. I also think we need to look at the food stamp program.

sigh.

But not everything is gloom and doom. Iron Maiden has a new album coming out in August, and you can download the first single for free today. They still sound great. Kind of pissed that I wasn't able to see them last night, especially with Dream Theater opening, but as the Rolling Stones once said, you can't always get what you want.

At least the Giants are playing well.

Welcome to Summer! (offer applies to the northern hemisphere only. You antipodean folk can enjoy your winter.) I found this track while searching for a few other things, and really enjoyed it. I always enjoy the merging of modern insturments and classical works. I dream about what Bach would have done if he had been introduced to Vangelis or Rick Wakeman.

To celebrate the changing of the season, enjoy Alexi Laiho and Roope Latvala of Children of Bodom performing Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 8, RV 315, "L'estate" (Summer) from his magnificent Four Seasons
