Never give up. Never surrender.
Apr. 9th, 2010 05:59 pmSan Francisco Giants: 5
Atlanta Braves: 4 (in 13 innings)
When this game started, I was somewhere in San Joaquin County driving a truck. When it ended I was home, had eaten dinner, and was on my second beer. This team never gives up. Not after getting owned by Tim Hudson for most of the game. Not after falling behind 3-0. Not facing a 4-2 deficit in the 9th. Not even after letting the Braves load the bases in extra innings. They just kept plugging and plugging until something worked.
What worked was Juan Uribe getting a single, moving to third on a steal and throwing error, and then scoring when Aaron Rowand knocked a single with two outs that required him to race down the line and dive into first base to beat the throw. That was your ball game!
This team finds the will and way to win. I love it! 4-0, baby!
GO GIANTS!!!
