Getting things done.
Nov. 21st, 2009 02:32 pm- Started demolishing the apartment today. I'm doing it in strips; concentrating on one area and getting that area done before moving on.
- This first strip included my RPG/gaming shelf. I tore into it without mercy.
- As a result, I have box of stuff that is going to being given away or sold, and a few rarities that are going up on eBay.
- It's really shocking to see how old some of this stuff is. I have emails I printed out in 1997 stuffed into folders.
- Among the rarities a near-complete run of the print edition of Pyramid and the Skyraiders trilogy from FASA.
- Three bags of garbage down to the dumpster.
- Taking a break, and we have called in a pizza strike.
- I've discovered I have an odd habit in Civ IV. Being a veteran and a student of history, I'm reluctant to start wars without an overwhelming edge in technology and troops.
- Besides, it's more fun to culture bomb cities and have them defect to your side.
- It's officially winter here at Offhand Manor. Tonight, the fuzzy penguin sheets go on the bed.
- Yes, there is a ceremony involved. It starts with the ritual Removal of the Stuffed Animals.
- Got some good news at work. On Wednesday I'm dropping my truck off at the welder's to have my gates repaired!
- At this point, it's easier to list the ones that aren't bent or missing latch pieces.
- It's chilly today. A nice hot shower is most assuredly in my future.
