Should've stayed in bed.
Oct. 15th, 2009 11:48 amWeird, weird day. Kiri drives me in, and Gio and Victor are surprised to see me. Seems that Victor's truck has been loaded with both his and my route. They assumed I was off. I remembered that this was supposed to be my appointment for the PET scan, but was told that Giorgio already had the day off. We all assumed that meant I was driving West Bay. The Giorgio walked in. He's off next Thursday/Friday.
Best guess is that a miscommunication caused the night crew to double load the truck. since my route only had two stops, they sent it out with Victor. I stayed in the warehouse to do some assembly work. Until about 0800, when i was sent to the 7th St. Warehouse for an order going to Fremont. Big order. Five pallets, each weighing about 3,300lbs (about 1,500kg). Needless to say, it took two trips.
I'd slept terribly last night, and wasn't feeling at all well, so I begged off and called Kiri to come get. I work enough bloody overtime to justify an early exit once in a while.
