Name five experiences you've had that you do not wish to go through again.
1. Cancer. No duh, huh? I'm not even talking about the ten years of recovery and post-treatment woes, I'm talking the eight months of finding out I was dying, the surgeries, hospitalizations, chemo, fear, pain and doubt.
2. Being shot at. Churchill was right; there is nothing more exhilarating than been shot at and missed. I'll be satisfied with being bored for the rest of my life.
3. Working retail. I can do it, I'm just not cut out for it. I don't care if people buy anything, and don't have the retail attitude. I'm not good at taking abuse from the customers.
4. Writing for Imperium Games. Yeah, it's long dead, but my experiences with IG almost stopped my writing career cold. Not getting paid, my work getting raped in editing, and no communication at all from the alleged "office." Sadly, there have been a lot of companies like this in the RPG industry.
5. Attending a ballet performance. I do not get ballet. The physical skills is impressive, but the idea of telling a story through dance leaves me cold and thinking of an overblown game of charades. I've been to a couple and they just leave me cold, even the ones written by my favorite composer, Tchaikovsky.
