gridlore: Doug looking off camera with a grin (Work - Truck)
I have a site, pretty far out there, that has been nothing but a headache since day one. We're delivering to a subcontractor there. From what I've gleaned, this site is going to be housing for families of patients staying the hospital across the street. The site is pretty small, and fairly narrow.

Today's mantra: I get paid by the hour.. I get paid by the hour.. )

But on the way home, I got Cracker's Teen Angst on the radio. cranks that sucker up to 25, and the world is a slightly better place.

I had to stop at the store on the way home. Among the things I needed was more denture adhesive. In my ongoing quest to chew without losing my lower plate, I was examining several labels closely when an older lady behind me piped up.

"Oh, don't guess! Call whoever you're buying that for and find out what brand they use!"

I laughed, and tried to explain that I was the denture wearer, but she refused to believe me. I practically had to pull out the lowers and show her before she'd believe I wore false teeth.

You think most people would accept "Thanks, but I'm looking for my own use. I lost my teeth to illness." and move on.
