Tubes of denture crap, to be precise.
In my continuing effort to actually get the damn lower plate to hold still while I chew, I ordered Cushion Grip Thermoplastic Denture Adhesive. Close to thirty bucks for four 1 oz. tubes. This stuff comes with an instruction sheet only a bit less involved that the one for assembling our futon.
This morning, I followed every direction to the freaking letter. Heated the tube for exactly five minutes. Gooped out a ball of the specified size. Applied it exactly as shown. Let sit for another five minutes. Then put my teeth in. Immediately, the damn crap is making me gag. It is vile. I control things, and try to bit down to set the dentures. I do this for a few minutes, and relax my jaw. Both plates immediately float loose. No hold at all.
But wait, there's more! I go to clean this crap off my dentures and end up spending close to 45 minutes trying to get this damn rubber cement off everything. Still not sure I got everything...
So, too much prep time (I need to put my teeth in at 0430, i don't have time to fuck around with heating tubes and shit), vile flavor, and no hold at all.
On the plus side, if I ever get into painting miniatures again, this would make an excellent agent for holding the figure on the stand while I do detail work.
Sea Bond works well, but again it has prep time issues.
