Apr. 15th, 2008 06:11 pmThe New York San Francisco Giants met the Brooklyn Los Angeles Dodgers at Seals Stadium for the first MLB game on the Pacific coast. Final that day was Giants 8, Dodgers 0.
In honor of the event, the Giants started today's game at exactly 1334 (the time of the first pitch.) Alas, history didn't repeat, and the Diamondbacks handled the G-men easily, 8-2.
A sidewalk plaque was also mounted at 16th and Bryant, the site of Seals Stadium.
