Teeth will be provided!
Mar. 29th, 2008 09:25 amSomething I forgot to mention in my dental post the other day. My dentures have been ordered! The office person at the dental office said that it made more sense to order them now under the insurance, since it would be cheaper for me to pay for the extractions.
With any luck, I'll have my teeth in three weeks or so.
But yesterday I suffered temptations even a Spartan couldn't resist. I got back to the warehouse after a long driving day, and saw that we had ordered pizza (I guess the immediate cash crisis has passed.. we used to do this often on Fridays.) Pizza. And my "lunch" had been sitting at a vendor in Stockton waiting for a paperwork snafu to be resolved. But I have no teeth! What to do?
I gummed the suckers to death. Luckily, the pizza was on a thick, bready crust, so I could pick the pepperoni off and shred it, then rip the crust into easily manageable chunks. A couple of the managers saw me eating this way. I hope they finally realize why I'm putting teeth first, work second these days.
