OK, what happened.
Nov. 27th, 2007 08:28 pmThe short form.
1. 0530: Come in an hour early for yet another episode of OMGWTFBBQ EMERGENCY! This time, four pallets going to Stockton. Plan was, I would come in and find my truck loaded and I'd just head out. Ha.
2. 0630: After an hour, during which time we had conflicting evidence that the order was incomplete, still waiting certs, or had been shipped yesterday on Pozas, we confirm that they are infact over at 7th street. Drive, Doug, drive!
3. 0835: Exactly 90 minutes after loading, I arrive at the Stockton site. Told them.
We now enter a dreamy interlude where nothing goes wrong for many hours. Doug even gets to sit down and eat lunch (even though Wendy's screwed up his order three times.)
4. 1350: Arrive back at warehouse, off-load, prepare to go home. Get handed another order. Glare at boss.
5. 1420: After finally locating all materials and getting them on the truck, head out.
6. 1440 (approx): Hit debris on 101 North. Truck starts making noise like it's about to fal apart. Pull to side. Inspect truck, see that my carrier bearing is no longer gainfully employed. Call Tim.
7. 1445: Tim laughs at me.
8. 1505: Tow truck arrives, takes me back warehouse.
9. (I loose track of time here) Get told I need to take another truck, Go to Roebeck's, pick up a load, and take that to a site in Fremont.
10. Passing through scales, get a red light. Pulled in for a vehicle inspection.
11. Out of inspection, call Tim. Who laughs at me.
12. Finally drop, race back.
Pretty close to 12,6 hours.
