Better living through technology!
Jun. 1st, 2006 05:37 pmOne of my regular stops is a place way out in the wilds of eastern Contra Costa County. Long drive to get to, but fun people who are friendly.
Today, they began using a new inventory tracking system. I was supposed to pick up two orders. The first was ready for me, all 900lbs on its pallet, snugly wrapped in industrial-grade plastic. The second?
Ooo.. slight problem. The old inventory system said that the 2,500 anchor bolts I was supposed to load were in the warehouse. The new system said they were on a truck heading for Las Vegas. I had to sit around while they searched the warehouse and reviewed the paper trail.
I hope the bolts have a good time in Sin City.
Today was long. Several stops in San Jose/Fremont, then off to Tracy, Brentwood, Antioch, and Pittsburg. Ran up about 200 miles.
