Friday Five, in harmony!
May. 13th, 2005 08:45 amSnagged from the usual place.
1. What's the last concert you attended? Gah. That would be The Who at Shoreline almost three years ago. Here's
kshandra's post on the concert.
2. Who is the best live performer you've ever seen? The Grateful Dead. Not big on stage presence or big shows, but for incredible live music, there was no comparison.
3. You can invite 2 artists to your house, but they must sing together. Who are they and what one song will they sing? Bruce Hornsby and Elton John. They sing Madman Across the Water.
4. Pick one to see: ABBA, Jimmy Buffett or Kenny Chesney? Jimmy Buffett
5. Friday Freebie: Tell us anything you want about music! John Philip Sousa's The Liberty Bell was used as the theme music for Monty Python's Flying Circus, ending with a "splat" sound as an animated foot crushed the show's title card. During my time in the 197th Infantry Brigade (M) (S) they played marches outside the brigade headquarters during morning PT. One of these was The Liberty Bell. One morning, my unit (the 3/7th Infantry) was running by just as the march ended.. and all 800 of us made the "splat" sound.
The Liberty Bell was not part of the morning music after that.
