Goodbye to an old friend.
Feb. 1st, 2005 08:34 amThanks to Freecycle, Kirsten got rid of our old love seat to make room for the futon she found on, you guessed it, Freecycle.
That love seat was bought by my parents in 1970 or so, about the time we moved into our house on Harwood. The covering was shredded by legions of cats (most of the damage being done by Kitty (1965? - 1984) who was the senior cat of our home) and the cushions deformed by hundreds of hours spent jumping on them.
When my mom moved out of the Harwood house, Kiri and I snagged the love seat, and it's followed us from EPA to San Francisco to here. Now, it's gone to serve as a dog bed.
Kitty would not be amused.
