Since
mdlbear repaired our computer (and reset the over-driven processor) it's taken the computer a much long time to boot up. Hit the power, hard drive light comes on and it can take a few minutes before it actually starts bleeping at us.
This chilly morning, it was taken longer than normal. I sat here reading The Elements of Style and glancing down to see if the CD and floppy drives had lit up for their self-tests yet. No luck. After a few minutes, I got frustrated, leaned over, gently knocked on the casing saying "Good morning! Time to go to work in there!"
The boot up started immediately
I knew it all along! Technology? Feh! There are magic pixies living in that box!
