Well, we can honestly say that he was da bomb.

Postal "service"?

I just got back from another 2 mile walk.. just to mail my unemployment form. There are no pick-up boxes anywhere near us. Trust me, we've looked. And I've tried to leave outgoing mail in our mailbox (a communal one, out on the street with lots of little boxes for the various apartments) but the next day it is still there.

Since I can't drive, I have to walk two miles just to mail a letter. I could give it to Kirsten to mail while she's at work, but she gets so busy that she sometimes forgets that the letter is even there, and it sits in her clipboard for days. Not a good thing when you are sending time-sensitive material.

I would have complained to someone at the Post Offal, but the line was filling the place with one (1) clerk working!

And they wonder why people are using FedEx and UPS?

In the 9th inning, Padres 1st baseman Phil Nevin swung at a horrible pitch. He walked off the plate to collect himself. The broadcast picked up Nevin shouting "Fuck!" several times. Considering the ball bounced before it made it to the plate, I can understand his reaction...
