1) I know you were a sniper. What was it like to actually kill someone?
Killing is a horrible thing, and should be the last resort.
2) If you could travel for a year, what would your destinations be?
Great Britain and Ireland for a month, Western Europe for two months, selected locations in Eastern Europe and Russia for the next month, down to Africa, and spend a month going from Egypt down to the Cape. Head back up to the middle east, and go from the Holy Land to India, taking about a month. India and Nepal for a month, China and SE Asia for a month, a month in Australia. Spend a few weeks in Korea and Japan, then off to South America with a side trip to Antarctica (Penguins!) Spend the remaining time going north through South and Central America towards home.
3) If you had a rewind button you could use only once, what in your life, besides getting cancer, would you change?
I'd go back and do better in school. Screwing up high school was the worst thing I've done to myself. I couldn't avoid getting cancer, that was genetic, but I might have been able to catch it at Stage I, and avoid one hell of a lot of problems.
4) What are your goals for the next ten years?
Continue living, get retrained into a job I can do, keep writing.
