Actually got out of the house several times. I have a pile of old RPG books that I wanted to sell, and we were going to take them down to Gamescape Saturday morning, but then I found out that the San Francisco branch wasn't buying anything. So I called the Palo Alto store and found they were only selling for store credit. No problem here!

[livejournal.com profile] kshandra and I went down to Ocean Beach for a Burning Man beach burn. Alas, we were the only ones there. Had a nice walk along the beach. Kiri wanted to go to karaoke, but I was too tired and begged off.

Sunday, we went to the Presidio where there was a display of old US flags (along with a few others) dating back to around 1810. Very interesting. One flag was from a Taliban artillery regiment. That was wild!

We had met with a couple of people from our local mailing list for Traveller players, and although one new member vanished (and unsubbed immediately) the rest of us enjoyed the exhibit and hit Mel's for lunch. After a very enjoyable meal, Kiri and I went to Palo Alto to drop off my games, which will be evaluated sometime this week. If you are local, and want Cyberpunk 2020 or Millennium's End material, Gamescape Palo Alto is going to be very good for you in about a week.

Got home in time for the Superbowl, which I enjoyed immensely. Favorite commercials: The Pepsi Twist one with Ozzy and family, Gatorade with Michael Jordin playing against a younger version of himself, and the Budweiser horses waiting for a zebra referee to make a call on instant replay.
