.. that there is far too much leisure time on the Earth. Used to be people would toil in the fields or at their mills from sun-up until night, and then barely have energy to eat before falling to sleep. But now, we have endless hours to waste.

Like these people have.

Of course, I really need to get a lot of writing and prep for the con done. So why am I on-line? Terminal laziness, I guess.

Now this was some old-fashioned smash-mouth football! Both teams lived on the run, driving the ball up and down the field in short bursts of four or five yards. We contained the highest scoring team in the league, and while our offense didn't really shine, we got the job done.

Cortez missed another field goal. Replace him now. Please. Our coach once again passed up prime scoring opportunities by being too timid. Yes we're 7-2, but things will change in the playoffs. We have to be able to go for it and make it count.

Next week: The San Diego Chargers, which I'll miss due to some bus trip. :)
