Not a good day for Bay Area sports fans
Oct. 21st, 2002 09:31 amSan Francisco Giants: 10
Anaheim Angels: 11
This was a home run derby. Neither starting pitcher lasted longer than two innings. It stayed close down to the end, but when Rich Aurilia and Jeff Kent failed to get on base before Barry Bonds' ninth inning home run, the end was clear. That home run by the way, went 485 feet.
Series is split 1-1. Next game Tuesday at Pac Bell Park. For the Giants, we have Hernandez (12-16) v. Ortiz (15-9).

On the football field, we have:
San Francisco 49ers: 27
New Orleans Saints: 35
This game was just weird.
