Well, damn.
Jun. 19th, 2002 08:23 amAfter that nice high of finishing the book, several things fell apart.
First, I realized I had two whole days to get a one page proposal in to WoTC's Design Our Next Campaign World contest.
Then I hear back from my Line Editor at SJG. Evidently the formatting I used was completely wrong. I followed their damn unclear directions to the bloody letter. Bring back the Quark X-press tags, I say. Let me write, don't make me do all the typesetting for you!
They also want me to rework all 323 planets in to Classic Traveller UWPs so they can automate the map generation. So I have one more thing to do.
Last night, I started developing a sore throat. Just what I needed, right? Then I made dinner. Yes, sports fans, Doug actually made dinner! OK, the job consisted of browning beef and adding the taco seasoning stuff, but that's more than I'm usually capable of doing without panicking.
Now, I have the POST tonight, and I feel miserable. My left shoulder hurts, which is just what I need before taking a 4 hour long test. At some point today, I need to at least start on the WoTC work, set up for the Outrim Void conversion, select what I'm going to be reading at the party Friday... and still be ready to leave for the test this afternoon.
I really need a pause button.
