OK, I work Sunday through Thursday. Paydays are on Fridays. It is much easier for me to take Muni down to the office and pick up my check than it is for me to go to my work site. I enjoy going downtown as well.

So today I go down and guess what. My check has been sent to my site for the second time. You would think that these idiots could figure out that I want my check held, but no, they actually had the gall to suggest that I need to call them every time to ask for this. "We send the checks out as a convenience" my slacker supervisor told me (he was wearing a Fresno State class shirt.. he's 24 fucking years old!!) What the hell kind of convenience is it for me? I wasted over an hour on Muni only to have to drive to Colma and get my check?

Which, I might add, was sitting out in the open in the guard shack, along with two others. Anybody could have taken it. Hell, there was a pile of shift reports sitting two feet away, with all of our signatures on them! Easy to forge with that many samples.

So now I've blown this afternoon as far as writing goes.. I'm so furious at this point it will be hours before I can think in that manner. I need a new job, pronto. This is the most fucked up company I have ever worked for.

But I did realize something - I feel no obligation to them. Starting Sunday, I'm bringing the planet design stuff with me and at least knocking those out while I'm "working."

So, I'm going to play a little Nethack, take some personal time, and try to chill out. Tonight, I write. I swear, if we didn't need this money, I would have quit today.
