Sep. 28th, 2001 11:56 amWell, I have a brain. The tech at Stanford confirmed it.
But it don't work too well. I managed to stay up until about 0400, and only slept for a few hours. Kirsten came home, collected me, and off we went. I forgot to grab my paperwork, of course. Now, there are two buildings at Stanford we had to go to. One was Blake Wilbur, and the other was the hospital. We get the buildings mixed up. :P
So I'm trying, half-asleep, to check in for an EEG at Blake Wilbur. The very nice lady sorts it out, and gives me directions to the correct room. I eventually find it, and check in. And then I realize something.
Kirsten doesn't know where I am. She's expecting me to be over in Blake Wilbur! And considering all the crap going on, she's been a bit brittle recently. Nothing I can do about it, just hope she finds the right place.
My test begins. I have 27 leads pasted to my head, neck and chest. "Close your eyes. Open your eyes." Pretty simple, and interesting. Found out that they now just save all the information to CD. Get out, and Kiri is waiting for me. We wander back over to Blake Wilbur for my MRI, and settle in to wait. And wait. And wait some more.
Finally, a tech comes out and explains that the machine has gone down. So we have to reschedule that test. Feh.
