The paper delivery war continues. Sitting here checking news and mail, and I hear the distinctive *thump* of a Sunday Chronicle hitting the steps. Run downstairs to get it, and the delivery people are still there.

My paper isn't on the steps, it's in the middle of the bloody sidewalk! As are the papers being delivered to my neighbors! This woman is just walking down the street casually drooping the paper as she goes!

So I confront them. Tell them that they need to slide the daily paper under the security gate, since the proximity to a bus stop means that my paper is getting stolen on a regular basis. Now, in the strange little world I live in, customer service means doing these little things top keep the customer happy.

Not on their planet. They guy driving the truck actually started arguing the point with me! I'm not asking them to scale the building and chuck it through the window! Just take a second to make sure that the paper is actually on the property.

If my paper is missing again tomorrow, or is outside the gate, I am going to melt some phones down at the Chronicle's customer service department.
