Aug. 1st, 2001 06:38 pmPoul Anderson is dead.
I like to think that where ever it is that fictional characters gather, Ensign Flandry and Nicolas Van Rijn are having a quiet drink together.
Poul was one of the most approachable SF writers I knew.. he was a fan first, a fan that just happened to be a great writer. He could be found at almost every BayCon, chatting with fen, hanging out at parties, always interested in what you had to say.
Goodbye, and thank you. You will be missed.
