gridloreWe needed to make a Costco run today. We're getting better about clipping coupons and remembering to actually buy what we need. But I did induldge in one thing... Costco stocks Mexican Coca-Cola. Glass bottles, real sugar, and a much better taste. I bought a case.
Tomorrow I need to go out and run a few errands, including buy some new shoes. For the first time in close to ten years, I won't be buying steel-toes. This is actually hard for me, part of my identity as a "blue collar" type was my OSHA approved safety shoes. kshandra earlier, it's not the illnesses that bother me so much, it's the constant wearing away at my life and self-image. A year ago, I was a truck driver. What am I now?
Oh, the real 49ers won their first game, 33-17 over the Seattle Seahawks. The big story was WR/return specialist Ted Ginn, Jr. In a one minute span, he returned a kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown, then took a punt 55 yards to the house. Both of these scores came late in the 4th quarter, and turned a close game into a secure win. Giants actually won a game as well, though it may be too little too late for this season.
