Amazingly, we actually accomplished everything we set out to do today. Despite an early rainstorm that turned into quite the downpour.

• kshandra had to get a blood draw done for her doctor.


• I got a small disability check (two day's worth) and we needed to cash it.


• My head has been mowed.


• Finally, I got a new pair of work boots. My old steel toes were beyond the end of their serviceable life. There was no sole left in spots ant the stitching was coming undone. So a good new pair of steel-toed work boots and a set of sole cushions.


• hit Safeway for work sodas and a new box of Altoids.


• While I was doing that, Kiri got her one real luxury, a full pedicure. Yes, purple toenails.
