Tonight marks Yom Kippur, the climax of the High Holy Days. Not being religious, I enjoy learning about religions and I like the idea of a day set aside for forgiving others so that your God can forgive you. Puts the burden where it is supposed to be, in my opinion, on the worshiper.
But anyway, to mark the Day of Atonement, we present Disgorge, a happy little Death Metal band from San Diego, Ca. Active since 1992, the band has survived multiple line-up changes, the death of bassist Ben Marlin in 2008, and changing tastes in metal.
So enjoy Atonement of their 1998 debut album, Cranial Impalement. (I could not make these names up if I tried.)
Next week, we mark the passing of Monty Python's best actor with his last gig.. in a most unusual place. Up the Irons!
