gridloreMy 49ers won the 2010 SuperBowl. I did this with a mostly young team leavened with some very good veterans, notably Antonio Gates at TE and Brian Urlacher and Leroy Hill in the Linebacker corps.
I picked up a rookie QB in a trade, and he turned out to be the next coming of Tom Brady.. so good that I was able to trade away Drew Brees (and his bloated contract) for some help on the O-line.
Just now I noticed that I had two Strong Safeties rated at 99.. to the trade block! I traded the older one along with my 7th Round pick in the draft next year to the Vikings for a younger SS rated at 81 and their 2nd round pick. The new guy has one year left on his contract, so if he doesn't improve he's not a burden after a year.
Assuming a good year, I may try to rebuild Candlestick. You can do that in Madden '08.
