Amazon fails its save.

gridloreBeing an utter geek, I ordered the Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition rulebooks from Amazon.com. Along with getting all three books in a case, it was coming at a steep (nearly half-off) discount.
When I made the order on June 7th, I was given a shipping date of June 23rd. OK, I can get this. Probably a lot of people taking advantage of the offer, a new release, I was willing to deal.
Today, I check my order status, and my books are now shipping on August 1st. No explanation. Five weeks of slippage.
Screw them, I canceled the order. We'll go down to our local bookstore in a bit and spend a bit more to get the books in the house.
I'm getting tired of Amazon's cavalier attitude towards shipping.
