gridloreAmong the things I hate about being sick is I tend to ignore the details of my daily hygiene routine. Oh, I shower, brush my teeth and all that, but I'm far more likely to grab the clothes I wore the day before on the grounds that I'm not going anywhere and I know where they are. I also neglect things like shaving.
I have a pretty heavy beard, and it runs from my collar bone to my suborbital ridge. Back in 1995, during my long hospitalization when I was wasn't allowed to shave at all for three weeks, I looked almost bestial. This growth is only five or six days worth, but frankly I hate the way my beard feels on my neck, and even when I wear a full beard, I keep my neck shaved.
So today I'm going to have to find the energy to take a weed-whacker at beat this evolutionary left-over into submission. Bleah.
