I mentioned a few weeks back that as part of my attempts to be a bit more healthy, I was switching from Coke to Mt. Dew. Yeah, not exactly an Earth-shattering change, but I need my caffeine.

The other day kshandra called me from the store. Did I want regular Dew or Mountain Dew Throwback? The difference? Throwback is made with sugar as opposed to high-fructose corn syrup. I went with the Throwback. Retro packaging, check. Good flavor, check, the effect of Mt. Dew with sugar? CCCccccchhhheeeccckkkk1!!!!11!!elevnty-one!

Pepsi has announced that they are keeping the Throwback lines. Good. I won't have to go on a killing spree.

I'm a cane-sugar root beer fiend, myself. Stewart's is my fave, or Jones; failing those, Boylan.

Do the Throwback versions cost a lot more?

When they were test-marketed here in the Bruised Apple, they were the same price as the throw-up (I hate 'Dew and Pepsi) products.
