Nearly 20 years ago I answered an add a lot like this one in the Denver Post.

We went door to door to businesses dropping off catalogs and sign up sheets for people to order products. The "Lead Sales Manager" that I spent the day with tried to get secretaries to do sales for him.

He stressed we weren't selling anything.

What I got out of it was about 5 hours of exercise, and the knowledge that I wanted nothing to do with these people.

I'm sure they're adding value to a paradigm somewhere while they leverage their experience to create a new fusion of access and success for their clients.
