Day off tomorrow!

Only 19 jobs at this point for Tuesday, so I can relax. If I had gone in, I would have just hung around the warehouse doing a whole lot of nothing and makework. I'll take actual work, thank you. So tomorrow, I don't have anything to do!

Ha. What I'm planning on doing is finally getting all this good stuff I've been playing with for the Terran Concordat into an actual outline for a book. Maybe I can fill it out and sell it to SJG for publication. I certainly find the setting interesting enough.

Now I'm just waiting on the publication of GURPS Space.

Because Hero Games has pissed me off to the point where I am never buying anything from them again.

After (hopefully) getting some writing done (an outline and a rough time line for my future history is what I'd like to accomplish) [livejournal.com profile] kshandra and I are meeting [livejournal.com profile] the_ogre for dinner. That should be fun.

Oh, almost forgot! Barenaked Ladies at the Masonic Auditorium, December 14th (that's a Wednesday) at 2000.. who wants to go?

Was it the online ordering thing that pushed you over the edge, or something else?

Yup. I've sent emails, called them, and still nothing. My latest email contained the phrase "I've consulted with an attorney" which tends to shake loose some action.

I've given them the choice: either compolete my order now (I don't care if they steal the two outstanding books from someone's desk at this point) or refund the entire amount. Any more delays and lack of communication from them and I will file a complaint with the state.

What contact address are you using?

Is there a new edition of G:Space due? Any idea what's changed?

http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/space/

I was in on the playtest, and we have an excellent world design sequence (based on the one in GT: First In, all sorts of good information about common tropes in space-based SF, good information on things like vacuum, radiation, advanced technologies, etc.

I trashed the playtest files after the test ended, but this is going to be one damn fine book.
