Who's up for a firing squad?

A National Guardsman was arrested Thursday and charged by the Army with trying to provide information to the al-Qaida terrorist network, a federal law enforcement official said.

This folks, is treason.

If we don't throw his ass against a wall, we can just dump him alone and unarmed on the Afghan-Pakistan border, and let the local tribes kill him in an interesting fashion.

What say you allow him to be tried and convicted before imposing sentence?

Assuming he's guilty, he's one of our own. We shouln't let others handle our justice for us.

court martial first...

Then throw his ass against a wall and shoot it multiple times.

However poetic the tribal option may be, we should follow the advice of RAH and be able to shot our own dog.

Treason It IS

I am with you. TREASON that should be the charge, not Aiding the Enemy or what ever new age, fluffy bunny, feel good charge they have leveled.

WHile I agree he gets a trial first, I have no problem with letting those polite Muslim Tribespeople showing him a good time

First a fair trial, then the execution

Not to interrupt this lovely lynching, but...

Seems like some wounds are still fresh. I'm reminded of the (funny because it's accurate) Onion 9/11 Point-Counterpoint column, "'We Must Retaliate With Blind Rage' vs. 'We Must Retaliate With Measured, Focused Rage'" (http://www.theonion.com/onion3734/point_americas_response.html).

Keep in mind that Doug's comment *does* include the unspoken "if he's guilty".
