I had a bad feeling about this appointment. I was right.
Well, that was fucking pointless.
A few weeks ago, I had a head MRI. At the time, the tech said they would forward the images to the ordering doctor. Who was retiring, but set me up with a specialist to follow up with.
Two weeks ago, that specialist's office called to set up an appointment. I was told they would have the CDs mailed to them after I explained that I really was limited in how much I could do in a day.
Today I went for my first visit with the new specialist and was asked for the image CDs which I of course did not have. I was then brusquely told that the doctor couldn't see me, and the receptionist I had spoken with was no longer with the office.
They even asked me if I would go get the CDs and bring them back. I am not driving halfway across the valley on an errand they told me was going to be taken care of.
At this point, I was losing words. The appointment has been rescheduled, and I'm going to call the day before to make sure the doctor has the images.
But for fuck's sake, medical offices need to stop treating patients like courier services, especially patients with brain damage!
