*Hic*

I am drunk. Tipsy. Three sheets to the wind, if you will.

It's really pathetic what a light weight I've become. I'm drunk off a single can of Budweiser. Now, I'm not supposed to drink, but I made chili for dinner tonight. You gotta have beer with chili! So I bought a six-pack, and the other five will probably last me until the All-Star break in July.

But here I sit. Buzzed. In my cups. Looking for a lampshade that goes with my outfit.

The funny thing is that right after I finished dinner, and my beer, I got a call from the UMA Lemmings. [livejournal.com profile] soldiergrrrl, her husband-to-be Snark, Red, Household 6, and Colin were all gathered together.. getting drunk. Nice to fit in. We had a great conversation.

"I tried to stand up, and it didn't work." SG, on why she fell out of her chair.

So I remain potted, pissed, or plastered (take your pick)

I'll probably go to bed presently. I was tired before dinner, and the alcohol didn't help.

*yawn*

G'night.

And I'm not there to take advantage of you? Damn.

My dear, if you think you need to get me drunk to take advantage of me...

Can you get decent alcohol-free beers in the US? Even my gourmet beer-drinker partner [livejournal.com profile] sgloomi acknowledges that Kaliber is quite good (an alcohol-free lager from the Guinness breweries).

I've tried a few, and they, well, suck more than Coors does normally.

An occassional beer isn't going to hurt me. If I start drinking heavily, then I'm headed for comaville

I'm working on getting into a similar state this evening, especially since it may be my last chance for quite some time. :-(

Note that it takes me considerably more than one beer to achieve alcoholic Nirvana [*].... ;-)

BTW, you probably don't want to keep five cans of beer (or any significant subset of that quantity) until July; that's why A-B puts that "born on" date on the label (on cans of Bud, it's on the bottom of the can). I suggest that you use them in cooking (beer is a tasty ingredient in marinades). Marinate K'kree steaks in a mix of beer, Worcestershire sauce and a bit of liquid smoke flavor (with possibly just a dash of Tabasco). You'll be glad you did.

[*] I used to be upset by the fact that Anheuser-Busch brews more Michelob than I can drink. I now take comfort in the fact that they have to run quite a few breweries to manage this feat....
