And here we go again.

Yesterday I woke up with terrible shortness of breath and no energy. I could not take more than a shallow breath, anything more was painful and triggered coughing fits. Needless to say, I called in. By the afternoon, I was having dizzy spells. Kirsten put her foot down an off to the ER we went.

Seven hours, two failed attempts to start an IV in my arms, and two success attempts on the backs of hands, a chest X-ray, and an Angio-CT scan later, and all we know is that there is fluid in my lungs. Finally got home around 0200. I'm now off work until at least Thursday. I am back on antibiotics on the theory that this could be pneumonia; although it doesn't feel that bad.

To say that I am completely and totally done with my biological support system is an understatement. I want my mind uploaded in a fractal bush robot, and I want it now! Hans Moravec, take me away!

In the meantime, I'm reading TV Tropes (because I do have all day to sit in front of the computer) and engaging in a bit of pie-fueled nuclear holocaust

I don't think you've seen this yet, so have a look -

Penguin bowling! (http://guruwench.livejournal.com/258654.html)

I hope you feel better really soon. *hugs offered*

You and Big Harold need to form a company to create said robot. He is truly ready to give up the cr*p he was given. And he has the hardware design knowledge. We just need a software person who hates their body and we're good to go.
BH still hasn't finished clearing out all the cr*p he got in his lungs back in May. Then again, he refuses to do the breathing exercises. *grumble*
Hope you do get better soon.
Antibiotics and breathing exercises are your friends. ;)

I don't want a bush robot as a body, I want a humanoid but vastly superior body that has a bush robot to do maintenance. :)

Failing that, how about something that will just restore flexibility to the damn lenses in the eye?

Breathing... GOOOD. Tell your lungs to get with the program.

Well, shit. I hope it's not pneumonia again and that you recover quickly.

Want robot body!!

Checked out how Campbell would do on the chart. Hmmm, not good.

Have you seen this one? =

Damn! Well I hope that whatever it is goes away FAST so that your immune system can get back to whatever it considers normal. Or at least so you can get driving again.

we are all falling to pieces. Like shedding zombies, or robots with nut and bolt diarrhea.

I blame above ground nuke testing and monkey vaccines.

Augh! I really hope this clears up fast, and that it's just a random glitch in the biologicals. :(

Whatever it is, I hope it gets diagnosed quickly and goes away just as fast.

If you go for uploading, just make sure you get a bush robot and not a Bush robot.

One annoying thing about that Global Thermonuclear War site is that it doesn't tell you where the fallout is coming from. You're reduced to guessing what you're downwind of.
