I'll have to check the training schedule to see if this is doable. Funds and vacation time aren't an issue, but my first obligation is to my students.

On a related note, some of you may be aware that I've named my Suzuki SX4 Hornet (http://www.uss-hornet.org/), as USS Hornet was the fourth Essex-class (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essex_class_aircraft_carrier) carrier ("SX4" = "Essex four").

Well, last week I placed an order for a 10' NuCanoe (http://www.nucanoe.com/specs/nucanoe10/). Since my Hornet will be the "recovery vehicle" for my boat, I thought it fitting to name my soon-to-be-delivered NuCanoe Columbia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_11).

Having checked the training schedule, I would have to fly in either late Friday night or sometime on Saturday, then fly home on Sunday. I can't really be away from my students that Friday.

Might be doable, but only if the flight times are such that the trip is worthwhile....

Ooo! Ooo! Ooo!

Yeah. That sounds like it's worth two hours on the bus.

i'll have to ask the 6 element...... it'll either be that or the 4th of July thing, if you're still doing that.
