Jerry Falwell Dead at 73
The Rev. Jerry Falwell, the television evangelist who founded the Moral Majority and used it to mold the religious right into a political force, died Tuesday shortly after being found unconscious in his office at Liberty University, a school executive said. He was 73.
I'm sorry, but I cannot, will not, mourn the passing of a man who dedicated his life to destroying civil liberties, establishing one-religion rule in America, and was a complete, howling hypocrite. Jerry Falwell was not a Christian. He was a bigoted, power-hungry, monster who used religion the way Hitler used German nationalism.
In a way, I almost wish I was a theist. Then my image of Jerry getting a very rude shock right about now would have more meat to it.

Now, I don't conceive of Heaven & Hell in terms of Real Estate but rather a state of being closer or further from the Divine source of life. It is not mine to judge where he resides now, but I'm fairly certain that it is NOT where he expected, nor, indeed, where his minions believe him to be.
This oughta be interesting
I'm not sure whether it's happening right now, or tomorrow. I need to go back & read the article.
BTW: I'm (Fred) the "anonymous" who commented about H&H, above.
