OK, I'm doing a little better now.

Chatting with [livejournal.com profile] eleri has gotten me calmed down a little. I have another project to work on, and may contact Hero Games to see what they are looking for in terms of free-lance work.

I just thought this book was going to make it.

You know, one thing Champions and HERO has never really addressed is the military. How would the mil address superhumans? How would they combat supervillains, a combination of special ops supers of their own or with special teams of normals armed with a combination of tech and tactics? What would it like, being a military super? Would they essentially be a whole different breed, analogous to Navy pilots in terms of standing, status, and attitude? Or would they be treated/treat others more like special ops like SEALs or Rangers?
Hero Games never did a military book for Champions or for that matter for any of their genres, and I haven't seen anything like that on DOJ's publishing schedule yet. I for one would like to see it, either as a supplement to an existing genre or as a cross-genre book, with details available for everything from fantasy armies through superhero worlds all the way to space-borne militaries.
Just some thoughts about how you could combine your previous expertise and your current one.
