My riding stats are a state secret.

No riding stats today, or for the immediate future. On the second leg of the trip in today, the computer just stopped registering. I checked the placement of the magnet and the sensor, and what I could see of the wires, and everything seems okay, but no registration of data.

This gives me an excuse to buy a better unit. :)

I don't think so. The display is still clear, and I can cycle through the functions using the buttons, it just isn't reading the sensor data.

Cable or connector, possibly. Still a good excuse for a new one.

Go wireless. It's just one less thing to break, and the price difference isn't that big these days. I found a nice one from Catseye that only set me back about thirty-five bucks. I'm not sure what going more expensive buys you until you get to cadence systems.
