He's down, he's up.. it's interrupted sleep schedule man!

After sixteen years of living together, I've learned to accept that when Kirsten is away my sleep pattern goes to hell. Friday night I was in bed by 2000, up at 0430. Saturday I took a four hour nap, and was up until 0030 as a result. Today, I'm awake at 0600. *sigh*

I did get some work done yesterday. Did a pile of dishes, cleaned a little. Today I'm going to try to accomplish some more, especially a load of laundry so I have clean clothes for the week.

Last night I watched a couple of movies. First off, I caught Enemy of the State on AMC. I've seen bits of it before, but never the whole thing. Nice, taught thriller, and it showed that Wil Smith can act when he wants to. I'm sure certain people on my friends list who actually work at No Such Agency would laugh their asses off at the film, but I liked it.

After that, I watched Secret Window mainly to watch Johnny Depp vanish into another role (seriously, has there been an actor in decades who so totally becomes his characters?) I'm not a big fan of horror/mysteries, but I found myself engaged by this one. Depp was brilliant as Morton Rainey, writer on the edge, and John Turturro was very spooky as the wronged Mr. Shooter. I kind of expected the twist ending, but it was well executed.

Finally, an old friend. The Replacements. Great film, and the best rendition of the Electric Slide ever caught on film.

Oh, I've added some links to my favorite links list.

I can neither confirm nor deny that I laughed my ass off when watching Enemy of the State.

Do you deny confirming your inability to to confrim your denial?

I always enjoy Enemy of the State. I like Wil Smith as an actor, but have always loved Gene Hackman, too. The storyline, however believable or not, is still fun and I would most certainly watch it again, for the bajillionth time. ;)

As for Secret Window... LOVE Johnny Depp and have ever since 21 Jump Street on TV. Always a soft spot for those "Made in Canada" shows. :) But I think dude's gotten a bit of a bad rap as an actor. He's so underrated. OK, so his movies aren't always that great, but HE is a good actor.

Can't comment on The Replacements because I'm not sure I've ever watched it.
