So there I was...

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me.

It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

When you're finished and feel like it, post this little paragraph on your LJ and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

Getting drunk and cheering for the Yankees....

[identity profile] gridlore.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Damn. I must have been really drunk for that to happen.

Hmmm.. unless it was a Yankees - Dodgers game.

I remember you and I having a conversation where I swore that, if it wasn't an imaginary conversation we were having, I'd post this meme in my journal.

That one time you got drunk, ripped the head of that Hell's Angel, and made sweet sweet love to the neck stump.

Remember that time we killed Strephon and made it look like that other guy did it? Man, that was choice.

You know Iphigenia and I are going to get you for that.

That reminds me.. do you still have the spare detonators and the RC unit? I have this follow-up job out Dlan way...

I'm so glad you were with us the first time I ever went through Twilight's Peak.

(Actually, it would be loads of fun to play those again, wouldn't it?)

I remember when you went through the SERE school at Camp Mackall and I was assigned as one of your interrogators. I was amazed when you claimed to be a member of the 311th Rapid Interface Regiment, and astounded when you provided detailed information on the unit, including organization, equipment and chain of command.

Sorry about the stress positions and having you sent for an extended visit to the People's Pond. That was strictly business.

De Nada. The CS cannister in the latrine after the bean burrito fest? Same thing.

Then there was that time when you made me stand outside a bedroom door, dressed in a blue paper jumpsuit and a hardhat, and made me turn on a flashlight using only a ruler that was taped to the doorjam.

Oh wait.. that really did happen. nevermind.

Aurictech and I were glaring at Gridlore over our cocktails. He actually looked comfortable in his tuxedo as he charmed the Viscountess Raadikham with his quick wit, flashing smile and knowledge of Rim politics.

"How come he aways gets the soft end of these jobs?" I muttered.

"Because he switched the deck for one he fixed. Someday I’m going to catch him at it." Aurictech did not sound happy.

I shrugged and replied, "Either way, he’s got the guards looking at him, so let us slip off and visit that lonely safe."

Why do I get the soft jobs? I'm the sniper. Rule 1: Do not piss off snipers, because you are an east target at 600 meters.

Duly noted.

Remember that time we hugged? ;)

Remember that failed coup in Africa?

[identity profile] jeffreyab.livejournal.com 2006-06-27 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
The one that only appeared to fail!

So remember that time in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's you, me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. you had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really, but sure enough we got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show.
