A note to all architects, business owners, and building managers.

PUT YOUR FREAKING ADDRESS ON THE DAMN BUILDING!!! In a place where it can be seen and recognized from a vehicle moving at the speed limit on the facing road. Putting the street number under an overhang in a recessed entryway is not at all helpful! Having the numbers in tiny print under a Huge Corporate Logo is also not at all useful, especially when your decorative shrubs cover the numbers.

While I'm ranting, let me discuss building numbers. Y'all may know that Building 4 is really 1000 Dotbomb Way, but all my PO has is the street address. I need to find 1000 Dotbomb. Why don't I have the building number? Because I'm not delivering to you; I'm delivering to the contractors who are redoing your building. I really love having to thread my big-ass truck through a crowded parking lot searching for the right door.

It's fun when you are going for a job interview too. First obstacle of the job interview, Find the Place where your interview is. The worst is when None of the Buildings on the street have decent numbering. *mumble*

With a Corporate Logo, I have half a chance, unless its a big Corp with lots of buildings! *double mumble*

Even looking for a new restaurant I have that problem (the best ones, of course, are little holes in the wall without prominant signs).

And the sad part is that in most places all the things you've mentioned are illegal, because emergency responders only have the same sort of info you do provided by the 911 database.

It's also *stupid* for the same reason.
