BayCon preliminary schedule.

Only three panels this time, although I've asked to be added to a fourth (a Dr. Who panel on Saturday.

Sat 19:00, Carmel: Are Star Empires Feasible?

This is one of my suggestions. Doing design work on the Concordat, I'm wondering just how likely a star-spanning state is in reality. Even assuming easy FTL, the sheer distances and endless room for expansion seem to argue against the traditional vision of an empire of the stars.

Sun, 14:30, San Carlos: One System to Rule Them All

This is going to be fun, since it seems to be mainly about d20, and I'm a solid GURPSian. If we turn it to a more generic discussion of universal system, it should be interesting.

Mon, 10:00, Cedar: As the Water Rises

A panel about the effects of global warming and the melting of the ice caps. I wondered why I was on this, then I read the capsule description.

Let's say the polar ice caps melt, and the water level slowly starts to rise. Who will get wet first? Where will all the penguins go?

Yup. Penguins. No wonder why I'm on that one. :)

So, [livejournal.com profile] ataniell93, [livejournal.com profile] aurictech... are we doing a party?

John hasn't contacted the party person yet but I think we are?

He's the one what's paying for everything on account of excessive brokeness on my part, though I'll contribute what I can to the party fund...so I'm not sure I can speak for us.

They even stuck me on a panel!
"The color of your life" I can't imagine why I was chosen!
