OK, a question..

Do I put Lord and Sons on my resume? I was there less than two weeks.

A resumes is a brag sheet, not a legally-binding work history, however much HR departments try to make it one. If Lord and Sons is some sort of major accomplishment that makes you look better, include it; if not, don't bother.

best,

Joel

Wearing my employer hat, I'd say no. You can demonstrate the skills that you used there (truck and forklift driving) from your other employment. Based on only two weeks, they can't give you much of a reference either -- they just havn't gotten the opportunity to know you that well.

I don't think including them gives you any sort of a positive. And the length of employment could be a big negative in the eyes of a prospective employer. Even though you have a very good reason, your application might be discarded before you get an opportunity to explain.

I think it will do more damage if you list it up front than if they find out about it later. Good luck.

I'd say yes, provided they're willing to give you a good reference.

OK, I know one son's name...

Clearly, Jesus. But what of the others?

Are you sure? Moon Unit is the Daughter of the Father of the Mothers of Invention.
