Chez Geek expansion

Warning: Traveller geekiness ahead.

We were discussing what happens onboard starships during the week spent in jumpspace. I mentioned that I had an idea floating around the back of my head for a game based on the wonderful card game Chez Geek.

Basically, the "job" cards represent the crew of a small tramp freighter hauling passengers and cargo. The crew members try to keep from going nuts while in hyperspace by getting the best food, entertainment, and companionship.. not to mention getting drunk and sleeping a lot.

What do y'all think of the idea?

Oh Jeebus. Imagine this, upon first seeing hyperspace, you'd have to say, "My God, it's full of cards!"

Doug, you've now managed to do something that I think hasn't been done since playing cards were used for divination: a total conversion of a CARD game. Programmers will be so jealous. :)
I think it's a great idea, and the Chez Dork rules would be perfect for something like that.
Eep. Imagine combining somehow the concept with the Munchkin rules, running an Alien Infestation game in your massive space hulk by those standards. (chuckle)

Damn good idea. I read about it on the TML and it sounded great. I have no clue about Chez Geek, but your descriptions sounded great. Folks need a clue as to what happens in Jump and it would provide a great distraction when everyone is sitting around the table
